Bag Quality Checklist
A gatekeeper checklist for reading seller photos before you choose. Use it to spot missing angles, visible quality red flags, and details worth asking about.
Core construction points
- Stitching should look even around straight panels and curved corners.
- Handle roots should sit evenly and show no obvious pulling.
- Edge paint should look smooth, consistent, and free of visible cracking.
- Hardware should be aligned, cleanly finished, and consistent in tone.
- Zippers, clasps, and chains should sit straight in close-up photos.
- Corners should hold shape without uneven bulging or loose finish.
- Lining should be clean, fitted, and photographed fully open.
- Structure should match the bag type: soft, semi-structured, or rigid.
Photos to ask for
Ask for front, back, both side profiles, base, and interior views. Add close-ups of handles, corners, zipper ends, clasps, chain attachments, and trim. If color or texture matters, ask for a natural-light photo.
